This Monday I’m in the middle of so many awesome books! Here’s what’s occupying my currently reading shelf this week:
Today is September 9, 2013.
I have read 50 books toward my goal of 80 for 2013. I’m still ten books behind.
I’m chugging along. Knowing me, I’ll work on all of these for about 2 weeks and then finish them all in the same day.
(all titles link to the book’s page on Goodreads)
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin — (80%) Still. Pushing. Through. I WILL FINISH THIS BOOK (it’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just hard to focus on the various plots when I can only read in 20 minute blocks).
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey — (80%) Listening to the audio book on my morning commute. It’s a post-apocalyptic alien novel. At least, I hope the aliens are real…because the other alien books have all been a fake-out. This one was SLOW going for the first 1/3, but it’s picked up at the midpoint and I’m flying though it.
What the Dog Saw And Other Adventures by Malcolm Gladwell — (60%) Loving the audio book in my car. All 13 CDs of it. I hope the public library lets me renew it, because I don’t know if I actually drive 13 hours in 2 weeks.
Curtsies & Conspiracies by Gail Carriger — (50%) As soon as I finish Game of Thrones, I promise I’m going back to this book. Honestly, it’s not as good as the first in the series.
