Right, I would like to repeat, I am following your blog and have a few thnigs you may like at http://www.penpalthe.wordpress.com
Haha, I just posted mine. The Traveling Pants girls and Georgia Nicholson were serious contenders.
Let’s not forget Summer Sisters by Judy Blume!
I haven’t read that one…but I guess I should! I love Judy Blume and I’m pretty sure I’ve read every other thing she’s written!
Great list!
I tried to limit myself to books I’ve read this year (or am planning to read myself this summer). I have “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight” on mine too. I put Lola on my list instead of Anna, but both are great beach reads. I’m going to have to add your #5 and #8 to my summer reading list.
#8 was laugh-out-loud funny and over the top ridiculous…while still managing to be printz honor-winning good writing. And #5 is one of my favorites of all time. Definitely give them both a go, they are quick reads.
Do you have an absolute favorite from your list?
RUBY OLIVER! Haha!
Adding those to my wish list!
Statistical is such a fantastic choice. Anna and Angus Thongs are two I’d bring to the beach too and reread any time. I’ll have to take your suggestion to read The Boyfriend List sometime too.
Inspired beach choices overall! Hope you have some great summer reading adventures.
Oh my gosh! I love love love like your entire list!!! We have some similar picks!
I love the Bill Bryson. I always remember the “flung!” section. Hilarious!
what is it about boarding schools that is so fascinating? maybe because i will never attend one. great list! ~dixie
I’m reading a Bill Bryson book at the moment (The Lost Continent), I really like his writing so it was fun to see him on someone’s list! Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging is definitely a funny book, I read it as a teenager and thought it was hilarious!
Numbers 8 and 10 sound like great reads. I love funny.
Yes to a Walk in the Woods, hands down.
Well I might need to expand my summer break book list… I have only read I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have To Kill You by Ally Carter and I happened to like it. I have read every book in that series so far. It may be the fact that I am still a teenage that I liked it, but I would read it any day, especially sitting on a beach
